#SANTACO | EXECUTIVE MAYOR MPE JOINS KEY LEADERS AT SANTACO POLICY CONFERENCE – 14 May 2024

Polokwane Executive Mayor, Cllr Makoro John Mpe, is currently participating in the groundbreaking SANTACO Policy Conference at Bolivia Lodge in Polokwane.

Alongside notable figures like Deputy Minister of Transport Lisa Mangcu and Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety Florence Radzilani, Executive Mayor Mpe is contributing to discussions shaping the future of the taxi industry.

This conference marks an important milestone as it represents the first formal gathering of taxi industry stakeholders, convened to discuss and formulate policies that will guide the industry’s trajectory and future prospects.

Polokwane Municipality takes pride in its strong and collaborative relationship with the taxi industry as witnessed by Executive Mayor Mpe’s intervention to resume operations at the Mall of the North taxi rank after its closure.

Furthermore, the municipality has undertaken initiatives to enhance the infrastructure of taxi ranks within its jurisdiction in its effort to provide modern and efficient transport facilities.
