UPDATE ON SCHEDULED WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION

Polokwane Municipality wishes to provide an important update regarding the recent water supply interruption, as previously communicated by Lepelle Northern Water.

PREVIOUS NOTICE:

Date of interruption: Wednesday, 12th June 2024
Duration: 24 hours
Reason: Temporary shutdown of Olifantspoort Pump Station 3 for gate valve replacement, part of the ongoing Ebenezer/Olifantspoort upgrade project.

CURRENT UPDATE:

All residents and businesses are hereby informed that the Olifantspoort Pump Station 3 is operational and currently pumping water to Polokwane and all affected areas. Water supply is gradually being restored, and flow should reach all areas shortly.

However, due to the line being empty, it may take some additional time for all affected areas to receive a consistent water flow.

Polokwane Municipality extends its gratitude to all residents and businesses for their cooperation and patience during this necessary maintenance work by Lepelle Northern Water.
