#ReagaPolokwane | Polokwane Municipality is rolling out the red carpet today for our local sports legends at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.

We are honoring the crème de la crème of our athletic community, from the tennis courts to the football fields and the marathon tracks in between.

Here’s a hearty cheer for:

1. Kgothatso Montjane: The tennis dynamo who’s got more spins than a washing machine.

2. Cecilia Molokwane: The chosen one, Cecilia kae one, netball queen with a knack.

3. Johannes Mosehla: Our marathon maestro who runs faster than the weekend disappears.

5. Magesi FC, Sekhukhune United FC, and Polokwane City FC: The football clubs that keep us glued to our seats and yelling at our TVs.

6. Comrades Marathon runners: Those brave souls who think running 90km is a fun day out.

And to all the other athletes and sporting codes we are honoring today, thanks for making our city proud and giving us plenty of reasons to boast.

We might not be able to jump as high or run as fast as Cecilia or Mosehla, but we can certainly cheer the loudest!
