#BUSTED | A sting operation conducted by Polokwane Municipality’s By-Law Enforcement and Waste Management officers resulted in the detainment of one suspect. This individual, who will be handed over to the police, was found in possession of municipal service infrastructure, including traffic lights cables and municipal water pumps, at a property on Dahl Street in the City area.

Theft of infrastructure like traffic lights cables compromises road safety, leading to potential accidents and chaos on our streets, while stolen water pumps disrupt water supply to our communities, affecting daily life and essential services.

These thefts not only pose a threat to public safety but also result in significant financial losses for the municipality, ultimately impacting service delivery and development projects.
