PLANNED ELECTRICAL SHUTDOWN FOR BREAKER INSTALLATION

Polokwane Municipality has scheduled a planned electrical shutdown for the installation of new breakers. This essential maintenance work is aimed at enhancing the reliability and safety of municipal electrical infrastructure.

The planned shutdown is schedule for Monday, 25th and Tuesday, 26th March 2024 from 08h00 to 16h00 on both days and will affected the following areas:

o Annadale
o Correctional Service
o Emdo Park and surroundings
o Enterprise Factory
o Fire Department
o Game Centre
o Hoër Tegniese Skool Tom Naude
o Hoërskool Noorderland
o Industria
o Laboria
o Ladanna
o Ladine
o Lafarge
o Lesedi Park
o Mahlako a Phahla
o Mahlasedi Park
o Nissan Garage
o Pietersburg Hospital
o SABC
o Traffic and Licensing Centre
o Water Purification Pump Station

During this period, it is important to note the following:

– All electrical connections must be treated as “Live” at all times.
– There may be intermittent On and Off switching of electrical supply from the Substation for testing and commissioning purposes.
