POWER RESTORATION EFFORTS UNDERWAY IN EXTENSIONS AREA AND ZONE 5

Polokwane Municipality is working to restore power to over 300 households in the Extensions area. These outages are due to street meter boxes being in “tamper mode” caused by exposure to water, strong winds or lightning.

The municipal team is addressing each affected meter box to restore power as swiftly as possible.

Additionally, in Zone 5, a section of the area – specifically Zone 5 E and F – has been temporarily switched off to repair a power line that was impacted by a zinc roof panel displaced during recent strong winds.

The municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused.
