REMINDER: 30 DAYS GRACE PERIOD FOR PREPAID VENDING BLOCK APPROACHING

Polokwane Municipality encourages all its customers to settle their debts or make settlement arrangements to avoid their services being disconnected.

All customers are hereby notified that the 30 days’ grace period for accounts with outstanding debt is approaching.

The grace period ends on Friday, 12 July 2024. After this period, the municipality will resume credit control enforcement by blocking prepaid vending systems on accounts that are owing and have not made payment arrangements.

Several assistance programs are available for those unable to pay their municipal debts, including payment arrangements and property rates rebates for qualifying individuals. The municipality urges all account holders who qualify as indigent residents to apply for the indigent subsidy to receive assistance.

The municipality further extends its appreciation to customers who pay their accounts every month, ensuring that services continue without disruption. Like every municipality in the country, Polokwane Municipality relies on revenue from ratepayers to build, maintain, and expand infrastructure and provide essential services. Collecting due payments is crucial for the municipality to continue serving the community effectively.

All customers are urged to pay their outstanding balances or make arrangements to settle their debts.
