RESERVOIR LOW LEVELS AND PLANNED POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTIONS

 

Polokwane Municipality hereby informs residents and businesses that several reservoirs are currently operating at reduced levels due to recurring power dips along the Ebenezer waterline. This situation is being closely monitored, and the municipality is taking measures to provide water supply assistance to areas impacted by shortages.

Furthermore, Lepelle Northern Water has notified the municipality of an impending power supply disruption at the Olifantspoort Scheme, necessitated by scheduled maintenance from Eskom on Thursday, 26 September 2024.

The anticipated power outages will occur as follows:
– Morning: 08h00 – 10h00
– Evening: 17h00 – 19h00

It should also be noted that between 10h00 and 19h00, the water treatment plant will not be operating at full capacity, as Eskom’s power supply will be reduced during their maintenance period. Residents are kindly urged to exercise prudence in their water usage during this time.
