Public Notice – RESTORATION OF WATER SUPPLY FROM OLIFANTS LINE – 25 April 2024

 

Water supply from Olifantspoort Plant has been restored as of 05:35 this morning, as communicated by Lepelle Northern Water to Polokwane Municipality. This comes after an interruption that began at 12:00 yesterday due to a power failure at pump station 3.

 

During the stoppage, reservoir levels were impacted, affecting water supply to various areas within Polokwane Municipality, especially Ga-Chuene, City, and Seshego.

 

While water supply has been restored, it may still take some time for the flow to fully reach Polokwane Municipality as the line was emptied during the interruption.

 

In light of this, Polokwane Municipality urges residents receiving supply to continue using water sparingly.

The municipality apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
