SCHEDULED WATER SUPPLY DISRUPTION DUE TO PIPELINE REPAIRS

Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform all residents that it has received official communication from Lepelle Northern Water regarding an operational matter.

 

On Wednesday, 18 September 2024, Lepelle Northern Water will temporarily halt operations at Ebenezer Scheme to carry out critical repair work on two pipeline leaks discovered in Haenertzburg and Boyne Taxi Rank.

The repair work is expected to take approximately 9 hours to complete. As a result, water supply to various areas within Polokwane Municipality will be temporarily affected, including areas from Segwashi, Mentz, Mankweng to City and Seshego.

Polokwane Municipality appeals to all affected communities to take necessary precautions by storing sufficient water for essential use during this period. The municipality remains in constant communication with Lepelle Northern Water and will ensure timely updates are provided on the progress of the repairs during the day of the stoppage.

The municipality apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
