TEMPORARY RELIEF MEASURES FOR AREAS EXPERIENCING WATER SHORTAGES

Polokwane Municipality hereby informs residents that due to a two-day shutdown by Lepelle Northern Water to commission a pipeline aimed at improving water supply, most reservoirs are at critically low levels. This has significantly impacted water supply in many areas.

As of this morning, reservoir levels are as follows:

  • Ext 34 (Ivydale): 0%
  • Ivydale: 0%
  • Potgieter: 0%
  • 50Ml Krugersburg: 0%
  • 30Ml D: 0%
  • 30Ml F: 0%
  • Seshego: 5%

The following areas are severely affected with no water or low pressure:

  • Seshego, Luthuli Park, Legae la Batho, Madiba Park, City and Extentions

To alleviate the situation, temporary water relief will be provided through water tankers dispatched to the affected areas. Residents are urged to cooperate and collect water responsibly from these tankers.

Where water supply is still available, we urge residents to use water sparingly.
