PUBLIC NOTICE – TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF SESHEGO WATER TREATMENT PLANT – 14 March 2024
All stakeholders are hereby notified that from Friday, 15th March until Friday, 29th March 2024, Polokwane Municipality will be conducting crucial testing and commissioning procedures at the Seshego Water Treatment Plant. This activity is of paramount importance to ensure the optimal functioning and reliability of the water treatment infrastructure in the area.
Testing and commissioning are vital steps in the process of bringing a water treatment plant online. During this period, the contractor will be rigorously testing various components of the plant to verify its integrity, functionality, and adherence to safety standards. Additionally, the commissioning process involves fine-tuning the equipment
and systems to ensure smooth operation once the plant is fully operational.
Polokwane Municipality understands that these procedures may result in periodic disruptions to the water supply in Seshego and Perskebult and further apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
Once operational, the plant will bring an additional 10 megaliters of water to the community, providing much-needed relief to the water system. This increased capacity will help meet the growing demand for water and improve access to clean and safe drinking water for all residents.
