UPDATE ON WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTIONS FROM BOTH OLIFANTS AND EBENEZER LINES

Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform residents of water supply disruption affecting all areas within municipal jurisdiction, as communicated by Lepelle Northern Water (LNW).

The water utility has reported a power failure at Pump Station 2 (PS2) along the Olifantspoort line, which is crucial for maintaining water flow to the municipality. This has also necessitated the stoppage of pumps at Pump Station 3 (PS3) along the same line. The issue has been escalated to Eskom for urgent intervention, and the municipality is closely monitoring the situation to ensure immediate resolution.

In relation to the Ebenezer line, LNW has confirmed that repair works were completed by 17h00 yesterday. Affected areas are expected to begin receiving water soon.

Polokwane Municipality will continue to provide support to all affected areas during this period. The municipality appreciates the patience and cooperation of all affected users. Further updates will be communicated as soon as they are available.
