UPDATE – PIPE LEAKS IMPACT ON OLIFANTSPOORT LINE IMPACT POLOKWANE MUNICIPALITY

Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform residents that Lepelle Northern Water has provided an update regarding the repairs at the Olifantspoort plant.

Due to the longer scouring process required for the affected pipeline, the estimated time for completing the repairs is approximately 8 hours from 11:45.

This maintenance work follows the detection of pipe leaks at the Specon pipeline and Pumpstation 2, which necessitated the temporary halt in operations.

The situation continues to affect water supply across all areas currently served within Polokwane Municipality, including Ga-Chuene, the City and Seshego.

Polokwane Municipality will keep the public informed of any further developments.
