URGENT NOTICE: WATER SUPPLY DISRUPTION DUE TO EMERGENCY REPAIRS

Polokwane Municipality is currently conducting emergency repairs on the Dap Naude pipeline, requiring the line to be temporarily switched off. Water supply restoration is estimated by 18h00 today.

In addition, Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) has switched off the Olifantspoort Plant due to a pipe leak. LNW will provide estimated restoration timelines once the affected pipe has been fully exposed.

These two incidents will impact reservoir levels and water supply across Polokwane Municipality. As of this morning, reservoir levels are critically low:
o Potgieter: 6%
o 50Ml Krugersburg: 0%
o 30Ml D: 11%
o 30Ml F: 6%

Residents receiving supply are urged to use water sparingly during this period. The municipality and LNW are working to restore supply as soon as possible. Updates will be provided as the situation unfolds.
