WATER SUPPLY CHALLENGES AND RESTORATION EFFORTS
Lepelle Northern Water has confirmed that power supply to Ebenezer Scheme has been restored after being disrupted for more than 12 hours since yesterday evening. This disruption considerably affected water supply to Polokwane Municipality.
While the Olifantspoort line remains operational, it has also been experiencing frequent power dips at Pumpstation 3 throughout the week. These interruptions continue to hinder efforts to replenish reservoir levels, further impacting water supply to Polokwane residents and businesses.
Currently, most reservoirs within the Polokwane Municipality are at critically low levels.
Polokwane Municipality apologizes for the inconvenience caused and assures all affected customers that efforts are underway to address these challenges. The municipality further appeals for patience and cooperation during this time as the municipality works with relevant stakeholders to stabilize the water supply system.
