WATER SUPPLY DISRUPTION DUE TO POWER OUTAGE AT EBENEZER PLANT

Polokwane Municipality hereby informs residents and businesses that most areas, particularly those that are supplied with water from the Ebenezer Plant – from Segwashi and Mankweng to the City and Seshego – will be negatively impacted by a disruption in water supply.

The disruption is due to the Ebenezer Plant being non-operational since last night, following a power outage on the supply line to the plant.

Lepelle Northern Water has reported the issue to the Greater Tzaneen Local Municipality. However, as of this morning, the plant remains out of service. This situation is expected to further strain the already low water reservoir levels.

The municipality is closely monitoring the situation and will implement temporary relief measures for affected areas where necessary. The municipality urges those receiving supply to use water sparingly and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
