WATER SUPPLY DISRUPTION DUE TO POWER OUTAGES

Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform all affected residents and stakeholders of power dips impacting the Olifantspoort Plant, which have, in turn, affected water supply to the municipality.

According to Lepelle Northern Water, the plant initially went offline at 20h30 last night. Efforts to restore operations saw the plant restarted at 01h45, but it experienced another outage at 03h00 before being successfully restarted at 05h30.

At present, the plant is operating at full capacity.

However, it has been reported that Pump Station 3 on the same Olifantspoort line is currently offline due to a power outage in the area. The matter has been escalated to Eskom, whose team is working to restore supply.

Updates will be provided as the situation develops.

The municipality apologizes for the inconvenience.
