WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION DUE TO PLANNED POWER OUTAGE

All customers advised that water supply to Polokwane Municipality from Pumpstation 2 (PS2) will be interrupted due to a planned power outage by Eskom affecting the station. According to Lepelle Northern Water, the estimated time of return to service is 16:30 this afternoon.

This interruption will negatively impact water supply to the following areas:

o Ga-Chuene
o Ga-Maja
o Thokgwaneng
o City
o Seshego

Water supply will be restored as soon as Eskom reinstates power to Lepelle Northern Water’s Pumpstation 2. In the meantime, the municipality will monitor areas experiencing water shortages and provide temporary relief through water tankers.

The municipality apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
