UPDATE ON WATER SUPPLY DISRUPTIONS AND REPAIRS

Polokwane Municipality would like to provide an update on the ongoing repairs being conducted by Lepelle Northern Water on the Specon pipeline.

Lepelle Northern Water has estimated that the repairs on the Specon pipeline will take approximately 20 hours from 14:15 today. The municipality anticipates that these repairs will be completed by 10:15 on Tuesday morning, 2 July 2024. These repairs are crucial to restore water supply and get Pumpstation 2 running efficiently.

This repair work affects water supply to all areas serviced by this pipeline, including areas from Ga-Chuene to the City and Seshego. In the meantime, the municipality will provide temporary relief to all affected areas through water tankers.

Polokwane Municipality urges customers receiving supply to use water sparingly.
