NOTICE OF WATER SUPPLY DISRUPTIONS AND REPAIRS

Polokwane Municipality has received communication from Lepelle Northern Water regarding
two separate incidents necessitating repairs on the Ebenezer and Olifantspoort water supply
lines.

Lepelle Northern Water is currently addressing a leak on the Specon pipeline. The timeframes
for the completion of these repairs will be shared once the extent of the damage has been
fully assessed. This repair work will affect water supply to all areas serviced by this pipeline,
including areas from Ga-Chuene to City and Seshego.

In another incident, a pipe leak caused by an illegal connection is being repaired on the
Ebenezer line in the Matshelapata area. Lepelle Northern Water has assured the municipality
that there will be no water supply interruption during these repairs, as they have implemented
measures to ensure continuous supply to the municipality. They estimate that repairs will be
completed by 12:00 PM.

Illegal water connections pose significant risks, including water supply disruptions, health
hazards and damage to infrastructure, amongst others.

It is by this reason that Polokwane Municipality condemns these illegal activities and urges all
residents to report any suspicious activities related to illegal water connections immediately.

The municipality is working closely with Lepelle Northern Water and law enforcement agencies
to address and eliminate such incidents.
