Polokwane Municipality alerts members of the public that the current issuing of sites in Seshego is not supported by the municipality and is illegal.
The property belongs to the municipality and a court order was obtained to prevent any illegal occupation on the property. The court order was served and read to the leaders and the community on Tuesday.
The piece of land is earmarked for township development aimed at strictly benefiting the residents of Seshego.
Municipal processes of township development are at an advanced stage. Once finalised, proper allocation of sites will be implemented to rightful beneficiaries by the municipality.
The municipality advise residents to comply with the issued court order and stop all activities on the municipal land. Failure to do so will result in law enforcement agencies implementing the court order. Those who have put structures are advised to voluntarily remove the structures. The law enforcement agencies are monitoring the situation on a daily basis.
