All meters to be converted to prepaid conversions in Polokwane City
As you are aware the City of Polokwane is currently rolling out new smart meters. This project commenced in September 2017 in Ward 19 and to date has rolled out to other areas in the city including Wards 8, 11, 12, 17, 20, 22, 23 and 26 in post-paid/ conventional mode.
As of the 1 August 2018, Polokwane Municipality will be converting water smart meters from post-paid to prepaid in the City.
All individuals and companies that are conducting work on your premises will have identification in the form of the following:
• National Identification
• Respective service Provider branded identification, and
• Letter of Introduction
Please note that all conversions are to be conducted at no cost to you as the resident. Should you be requested to pay for any service regarding the Smart Metering project, you are advised to contact the municipality or report the incident to your nearest police station.
