Challenges experienced by Lepelle Northern Water on their Ebenezer and Olifantspoort
lines are affecting reservoirs levels within Polokwane Municipality.
In a statement issued yesterday, the water utility indicated that it experienced challenges such
as power dips and breakdowns. This experience has severely affected water supply to all
areas within Polokwane Municipality. This month only, there has been a number of disruptions
on the side of Lepelle Northern Water due to “power outages and emergency shutdown”.
As of this morning, reservoir levels have not improved with most of them standing at 0%.
Water tankers will continue to provide relief to all affected areas. Normal water supply shall be
restored once the situation improves.
The municipality urges residents and businesses receiving supply to use water sparingly.
Areas that have not received a water tanker are urged to report promptly to Water and Sanitation
helpline at 015 023 5376 / 5629 so that the municipality can come to their aid.
Polokwane Municipality apologizes for the inconvenience caused; and further appreciates patience
and cooperation of all affected.
