Polokwane Municipality urges residents receiving supply to continue using water sparingly. This comes in light of reservoir levels not showing improvement.

The municipality will, in the meantime, continue to provide temporary relief measure in a form of water tankers to all areas experiencing water shortage.

Consumers are advised to exercise water saving tips:

  • Do not leave the water running while shaving, brushing teeth or washing hands;
  • Close taps tight to avoid dripping;
  • Do not flush the toilet unnecessarily;
  • Check for leaks in pipe;
  • Do not use your toilet as an ashtray or wastebasket;
  • Use a broom to clean driveways, sidewalks and steps; and
  • Advise children not to play with the hose and sprinklers.

All areas experiencing shortage are advised to report their challenges promptly to municipal water and sanitation call centre at 015 023 5376 / 5629 / 1487 so that the municipality can come to their aid.
