Notice is hereby given in terms of the Municipal Systems Act (32 of 2000) Section 16 which mandate municipalities to develop a culture of municipal governance that complements formal representative government with a system of participatory governance, and must for this purpose encourage, and create conditions for, the local community to participate in the affairs of the municipality.
Similarly, Section 152 of the Constitution (108 of 1996) provides objectives of local government. One of the objectives is to encourage the involvement of communities and community organizations in the matters of local government.
Guided by the above mentioned legislations, Polokwane Municipality will be conducting Public Participation Process on the 2022/23 Draft IDP and Budget in all 7 Municipal Clusters during the Months of April 2022. The dates and venues for IDP meetings have been scheduled as follows: i.e.
