EMERGENCY REPLACEMENT OF VALVES AT SAND RIVER NORTH MANGANESE PLANT
Polokwane Municipality hereby informs residents and stakeholders that an emergency replacement of valves will be conducted at the Sand River North Manganese Plant on Friday, 13 September 2024, from 07h00 to 22h00.
To facilitate this critical work, the plant will be temporarily shut down for the duration of the replacement.
Consequently, water supply will be interrupted, affecting the following areas:
- Annadale
- Emdo
- Gateway Airports Authority Limited (GAAL)
- Ladanna
- Ladine
- Lesedi Park
- Luthuli
- Mahlako a Phahla
- Mahlasedi Park
- Mapungubwe Regiment (formerly Regiment Christiaan Beyers)
The municipality will provide temporary relief of water supply in a form of water tankers to the affected areas during the replacement of valves. This emergency maintenance is essential to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the water supply system, and the municipality aims to restore full functionality as swiftly as possible.
The municipality regrets the inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the cooperation of the affected communities during this necessary intervention.
