POWER SUPPLY UPDATE IN THE CITY AND SESHEGO

Polokwane Municipality has experienced multiple unplanned power outages due to medium voltage (11kV) equipment failures, heavy rain, severe lightning and rotational loadshedding.

Power has been restored to most areas, including:
o Bendor,
o Extension 44,
o Ladanna Industrial Area Sandrivier Water Pumps Woodhill
o Celtic Meadow Estates Eduan Park
o SAB
o Extension 100
o Thornhill Northview
o Marula Heights
o Waterberry
o Eagles Crest
o Dalmada Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Seshego Zone 1 Extension

 

Ongoing outages and estimated restoration:

o Welgelegen: Partial restoration, Genl Kock & Genl Muller Streets expected back Sunday, 02 February 2025.
o Seshego Zone 3: Switchgear failure, full restoration expected by midday Sunday.
o Silicon Line (Game Reserve, SAPS K9, Fire Dept and Airport) and Luthuli Park 9L: Faults under investigation, restoration once located and fixed.

Safety Reminder: Treat all electrical wiring as live. Switch off appliances to prevent damage or injury when power is restored.
