WATER SUPPLY HALTED DUE TO OLIFANTSPOORT PLANT LEAK; REPAIRS ON DAP NAUDE LINE COMPLETED


Polokwane Municipality has just received communication from Lepelle Northern Water regarding a disruption in water supply within Polokwane Municipality. Due to a pipe leak at the Olifantspoort Plant, Lepelle Northern Water has halted pumping to Polokwane. They are currently working on exposing the pipe and will provide timelines for
the completion of repairs once this process is complete.


This disruption is affecting water supply to Ga-Chuene, the City and Seshego areas. The municipality will provide updates as soon as it receives further updates from Lepelle Northern Water.


UPDATE: DAP NAUDE LINE REPAIRS COMPLETED


The affected City residents and businesses are hereby informed that repairs on the Dap Naude line in Ga-Makanye area have been successfully completed as of yesterday. The pipeline, which supplies water to the Polokwane Water Treatment Works, is now fully operational. Consequently, the City area should expect a restoration of normal water
supply shortly.


Polokwane Municipality appreciates patience and understanding of all affected used during these repair activities and assures all that the municipal and Lepelle Northern Water teams are working to ensure a consistent water supply to all affected areas.
