WATER SUPPLY RESTORED FOR AFFECTED AREAS

Polokwane Municipality wishes to inform residents in areas affected by water supply shortages from Segwashi, Boyne, Mankweng to the City, and Seshego that water supply should be restored soon, as Lepelle Northern Water has resumed pumping.

The temporary suspension of water supply earlier today was necessary to address unauthorized water connections, which were dealt with during an oversight visit by Limpopo Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba, MEC for COGHSTA Mr. Basikopo Makamu, Polokwane Executive Mayor Cllr. Makoro John Mpe, and the Chairperson of the Lepelle Northern Water Board.

The municipality appreciates the patience and cooperation of all affected residents as it continues working towards sustainable and equitable water supply for all and further urges communities to report any unauthorized water connections to help protect this vital resource.

End!
